Ahnk Ring
The Ahnk is the hieroglyph for ‘life’. The Ancient Egyptians saw this as a representation of life itself. The morpheme that this symbol stand for are a sting of consonants found in Egyptian words like ‘mirror’ and ‘floral bouquet’, which seems a fitting series of terms with ‘life’ as a letter. It was a sacred symbol for the Pharaohs, giving them the power of life by reviving souls in the afterlife. Egyptians believed life to be a force of which we, humans, were merely a manifestation. All living beings are linked by this force. A school of thought that was not only believed by many cultures, ancient and modern, around the world, but is also supported by modern science!
