Da’oud feels the sight of the crescent moon next to a bright star, usually Venus, is quite a sight to behold. An ancient story tells of a Sultan seeing a vision of his true love by the light of the crescent moon. His reverence for her was immortalized on his banner from then on. Astrologically, the Moon represents the subconscious mind, our intuitive side, whence comes qualities of psychic, spiritual, and compassionate awareness, embodied in the various versions of the goddess. On another level, one could see this as a talisman for a Tarot related symbolism that relates the moon to the age of Pisces, the age of Belief and Faith. The star, depicted here as the shooting star is of the Age of Aquarius, the age of Understanding. We are now passing into this age whereby science and reason are merged with the spiritual, making for whole new avenues for exploration.
