In many cultures around the world, the serpent is a symbol of good luck. This design takes inspiration from the Jelling Style of Scandinavian culture in the 10th century, right on the precipice of their conversion to Christianity. Snakes and Dragons were used interchangeably in their Sagas, giving this design the symbolism of both dragon and snake. He was a representation of Odin, in his serpent form. Their living underground makes them the intermediaries between two worlds of Norse mythology. This design, with two intertwining snakes, calls upon the power of good fortune, to invoke the serpent's power bringing wisdom, power, and the strength of the ancients to bless a union such as a marriage. The design might have inspiration from Northwest European culture but look deeper into this legend and an ancient archetype emerges that is revered throughout the world, especially by ancient earth religions as a symbol of a creature that has deep roots with mother earth.
